The Jackie Robinson International Golf Tournament is hosted annually by the Black Academic Scholarship Fund (BASF) to raise funds for its scholarship program. The Mission of BASF is to provide financial assistance to students from the Black community who are in good academic standing and actively pursuing a course of study at an accredited institution. BASF, which has been active in the Montreal community since 1991, aims to enhance the economic status of the community by providing more opportunities for students to achieve their educational and career goals.

The golf tournament has regularly received sponsorship from a number of companies and individual contributors who share the goals of supporting education and community development. Because of this invaluable support, BASF has been able to award over 249 scholarships to students in trade, career, undergraduate and post-graduate programs. Some of the past recipients are now valuable contributors to the economic and cultural richness of Montreal, Quebec and Canada.

This tournament honours Jackie Robinson, whose outstanding contribution and behaviour, as a member of the Montreal Royals baseball club, led him to break the colour barrier in major league baseball. His tolerance, strength, and outstanding character personified the qualities of the man who has inspired us to keep his memory alive.

On Friday, July 5, 2019 please join us at the beautiful and luxurious Golf St-Raphaël for golf, brunch, dinner, and invaluable opportunities for networking. You are also asked to invite your spouse, partner, or a friend to join you for cocktail and dinner after a day of golfing.

Your participation will help us raise funds to support a very worthy cause. For further information, please contact:
